Design/Build
Our
Design process is a three-step method:
1.
First, our design professionals will set a meeting at your home
where we'll listen to what your wants and needs are. We'll measure
and assess your existing situation. We'll talk about when the
project could get started and about how long it will take to
complete. We'll discuss the projected budget for the project, as
well as any special concerns you may have about the project. We'll
present a straight-forward design contract. We'll then head back to
the office to begin designing the preliminary set of drawings, where
we'll incorporate your desires into our innovative and original
design approach.
2. Secondly, within approximately 1 week of
the initial meeting, we'll meet with you to present the preliminary
design plans. We'll explain the concepts and reasons for the design,
and we'll incorporate your input for any changes you'd like to see.
At this time, we will try and address the budget for the project in
a little more detail, and make changes accordingly to accommodate
your project budget. Then we're back to the office to finalize the
construction drawings.
3. When the changes are completed,
we'll meet and present the final construction drawings, complete
with foundation and floor plans, cross-sections, elevations, and
any/all notes pertaining to the project. A detailed, customized
contract for the construction phase of the project will follow soon
after the final drawings, and a start date will be set. It can be as
simple as that!
Our Build process then
consists of the following:
1. We'll
present a construction calendar and schedule... one that you can
count on!
2. Our experienced professionals will schedule and
coordinate all of the materials and tradesmen required to complete
your project.
3. We'll be working on your project five days
per week (the duration of a typical $100,000 project is
approximately 12 to 14 weeks from start to finish).
4. We
will keep you informed along the way of any options that may become
available to you during the construction process. We want your input
on any possible "gray" areas.
5. We'll keep the lines of
communication open and your best interests at heart. We want to make
you happy with the finished product... a newly finished living area
that will provide your enjoyment for many years to
come!
